HEX000000 is a collaborative project by Anastacia Mala and Nina Schuh that developed from a shared interest in tattoo culture, into a year-long documentary exploration of Milan’s underground tattoo scene. 

The project follows a network of independent tattoo artists across appointments, hang outs and collaborative events, mapping the relationships and exchanges that shapes this expanding network grounded in collaboration, mutual support and shared space. Rather than focusing solely on the act of tattooing or the tattoo itself, the project examines how a strong community has been formed across differences in background and style. 

The final output is a multimedia zine that brings together photo documentation, tattoo flashes, illustrations and fragments of their everyday interactions. Printed across varied formats, such as flash paper and silver prints, the publication reflects the tactile and experimental nature of the scene it documents, positioning the work as both an archive and an extension of the community itself.
